Course Overview
This one day, instructor led Microsoft Access Beginner/Intermediate course introduces participants to essential database concepts and provides hands-on experience in creating and managing databases using Microsoft Access. Participants will learn how to navigate the Access interface, design and structure tables, create queries to retrieve data, and develop forms and reports for data entry and presentation. This course is ideal for those looking to build a solid foundation in Access and effectively manage structured data. At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand general database concepts, relational databases, and the Access interface.
- Create and modify tables, define fields, apply data validation, and establish relationships using primary and foreign keys.
- Design and modify queries to retrieve and manipulate data, including using calculated fields.
- Build simple forms, apply form design principles, and use form controls for data entry and management.
- Develop and format reports using report controls to effectively present data.
