In-House Technical Trainer

This position is based out of the Phoenix TS headquarters in Columbia, MD.

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

  • Delivering IT and Management courses to Government and commercial clients.
  • Assisting the Product Development Department with building courseware and instructional aids.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert when dealing with Phoenix TS’s clients.
  • Assisting the IT department with the imaging of PCs and classroom set up.

Skills/Requirements:

  • 4 year university degree or equivalent experience is required. Qualifying experience includes providing training courses specific to IT and management, providing technical assistance or administering information management resources which includes computer hardware, LANs, applications systems, and connectivity to external systems; developing curriculum, working with computer security hardware and software; installing, maintaining and operating PC’s, laptops, printers, etc.; managing various desktop and server operating systems; working with end users to resolve conflicts.
  • Must be willing to obtain various IT and management certifications as needed.
  • Must be willing to become a CompTIA, Microsoft or Cisco certified trainer.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.

Inside Sales Representative

The Inside Sales Representative’s primary responsibility is to sell individual and group/bulk seats into publicly-available training classes that are held at Phoenix TS training centers.

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

  • Team selling and individual selling.
  • Develop new business opportunities by warm and cold calling.
  • Manage a portfolio of individual accounts.
  • Qualify inbound leads and funnel them to the appropriate sales person.

Skills/Requirements:

  • Associates degree or higher.
  • 2-5 years of proven and successful enterprise-level sales experience (experience with training, managed technology services, application solutions, or other consultative programs a plus).
  • Aptitude and knowledge of information technologies, such as applications development, security, networking, and commercial software implementations is preferred.
  • Customer service, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office Applications.

National Training Coordinator

The National Training Coordinator is responsible for the logistical management and coordination activities required to execute training events at our public locations nationally or at our client locations around the globe. This includes but is not limited to selecting and contracting with trainers, scheduling classes, ensuring the delivery of books and other material, facility availability, budget management of each class, coordination with Sales, IT and Finance, and reviewing registrations/rosters after each class.

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and human relation skills that positively benefits interaction with internal and external clientele.
  • A demonstrated ability to deal with corporate office personnel, volunteers, peers and supervisors.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to plan, prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • Good decision making skills, with the ability to analyze information, evaluate results, and implement the best solution to solve problems or challenges.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a dedication to consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in the logistical planning and execution of remote training events.
