Course Overview

This one-day, instructor-led Microsoft Access Advanced course teaches the concepts and skills necessary for advanced use of Microsoft Access. You will learn how to create advanced queries, forms, and reports, design and implement macros, and effectively manage databases. This course is ideal for individuals looking to become advanced users of Microsoft Access, enhancing their ability to streamline data management and automate tasks. At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Create advanced queries by grouping and summarizing data, updating and deleting records, managing relationships, and applying indexing for performance.
  • Design advanced forms using subforms, advanced control types, and specialized form structures.
  • Develop advanced reports with subreports, complex grouping techniques, and advanced formatting.
  • Build and manage macros by creating basic macros, utilizing variables, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Perform database management tasks such as compacting and repairing databases, restoring data, and executing other maintenance procedures.
