Course Overview

This five-day, instructor led course prepares participants for the CompTIA Security X (CAS-005) certification, formerly known as CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+). The rebranding reflects an evolution in the certification, aligning with modern cybersecurity challenges, including zero trust security, cloud and hybrid environments, automation, and adaptive security approaches. The exam has been updated to emphasize enterprise-level security solutions, risk management, incident response, and security operations. At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Design and implement advanced security architectures for enterprise environments.
  • Analyze and mitigate cyber risks while balancing security and business objectives.
  • Secure hybrid and cloud-based infrastructures, integrating automation and orchestration.
  • Apply zero-trust security models and adaptive security strategies.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and apply mitigation techniques.
  • Manage incident response and forensic investigations for advanced persistent threats (APTs).
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity governance frameworks and risk management policies.
  • Integrate security in DevSecOps and modern IT infrastructures.
