Course Overview
Our 5-day, instructor led Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA) course was developed by world leading CMMC expert Tara Lemieux and will prepare professionals for the CCA exam. The CCA exam will verify a candidate’s readiness to perform as an effective Certified Assessor of Organizations Seeking Certification (OSC) at CMMC Level 2. A passing score on this exam is a prerequisite to the Certified CMMC Lead Assessor certification. Model documents and supporting reference material will be provided to students during the CCA exam.
*note: as of 2/27/2023 all publicly scheduled CCMC CCA classes will consist of (1) one extra day for exam prep for a total of 5-days duration

Tara Lemieux is a CMMC Certified Provisional Assessor, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Instructor, and Lead Auditor for ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 20000-1 and ISO/IEC 27001. With over 30 years of hands-on implementation experience guiding U.S. Government and commercial agencies, Ms. Lemieux has empowered cybersecurity fortifications and compliance efforts through innovative and meaningful solutions. Using advanced statistical techniques, she has produced threat modeling and accompanying analysis in support of federal agencies to help advance their knowledge of immediate and emerging national security threats. Her mindful approach has helped small to mid-sized companies successfully leverage existing capabilities to manage and address their cybersecurity risks while assuring their compliance with federal contracting requirements. She is a contributing author to the CMMC Assessment Process and former member of the CMMC working groups. She is currently a Senior Subject Matter Expert at Phoenix TS and a member of the CMMC Standards Council.

Important: This course “does not” include the Certified Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA) exam fees. If you are planning to take the exam post training you will need to register with the CyberAB. To learn all required steps in obtaining your CCA certification please read below:

Entitlement Requirements for Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA) Exam:(You must be a certified CCP to pursue the CCA exam, you must also have completed the following entitlements)
- Complete CCA Application
- Sign Code of Professional Conduct (CoPC) – this should only need to be re-signed if there are updates to the CoPC within the year of your previous signing. Each year you will be required to re-sign the CoPC.
- Sign Individual Service Agreement (ISA) – this should only need to be re-signed if there are updates to the ISA within the year of your previous signing. Each year you will be required to re-sign the ISA.
- Successfully complete the CCA training with an approved Licensed Training Provider (LTP). Your selected LTP will provide your completion information to the CAICO, you will see your training entitlement checked off once this has been completed.
- Pay your $350 exam fee.
- CCA Exam Passed – this will be checked once the passing exam results are provided.
Note: No CCA badge or Marketplace listing will be generated until the CCA candidate has also passed suitability and have completed their three (3) Level 2 assessment participation requirements.
