Course Overview

Leading a team comes with its challenges. Juggling your own responsibilities, assisting team members in problem-solving and task completion, and coordinating with fellow supervisors can make for a demanding role. This one-day instructor-led course is designed to provide managers and supervisors with the skills and strategies needed to effectively lead their teams and cultivate a productive work environments. Participants will learn practical techniques for delegation, time management, setting clear goals and expectations, delivering constructive feedback, resolving conflicts, and handling disciplinary matters. By the end of the course, supervisors will be better equipped to manage their teams with confidence and efficiency. At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Adjust to the supervisor’s role with confidence.
  • Develop skills in listening, asking questions, resolving conflict, and giving feedback to employees.
  • Identify key attitudes that can be developed to enhance supervisory skills.
  • Use time management and planning techniques to maximize success.
  • Develop a technique for giving instructions that are clear and understood.
  • Understand the importance of developing good relationships with employees and peers.
