Course Overview
Phoenix TS’s instructor-led government acquisition and procurement course is ideal for those new to federal contracting and will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to succeed in the federal contracting environment. Participants will learn the fundamentals of the federal acquisition process, including the roles of key participants and an overview of basic statutes and regulations that govern the process.
At the conclusion of the course, students will be able to discuss:
- Goals, objectives, and the vision of the Federal acquisition process
- Roles and responsibilities of key participants in the acquisition process
- Sources of Federal contract law
- Organizing the acquisition function
- The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) System
- Principal contracting functions
- Stands of conduct and ethics
