Course Overview
This 4 day, instructor led course teaches developers how to design, build, and manage cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure Cosmos DB. Participants learn to structure data, write efficient queries, and implement global-scale, highly available applications. The focus is on practical, hands-on skills for configuring databases, working with SDKs, and integrating Cosmos DB with other Azure services, ensuring applications are scalable, resilient, and performant. At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Set up and manage Azure Cosmos DB resources for cloud-native applications.
- Design efficient data models and choose partitioning strategies to support scalability.
- Write queries and use SDKs to interact with Cosmos DB programmatically.
- Configure replication, consistency, and failover for globally distributed applications.
- Integrate Cosmos DB with other Azure services and automate deployments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance and cost.

Prerequsites
- Experience with Azure fundamentals and cloud service concepts.
- Knowledge of at least one programming language supported by Cosmos DB (C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript).
- Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL) and basic data modeling concepts.
