Course Overview

This 3-day, instructor-led course provides students with the essential skills to install, configure, secure, and maintain networked servers in modern enterprise environments. Participants learn to evaluate server roles, implement identity and access management, and apply system hardening techniques to strengthen network security. The course also covers asset management, system monitoring, redundancy, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity and operational resilience. Designed for hands-on learning, the class emphasizes practical administration tasks aligned with industry best practices for network security. At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Explain fundamental networking and server administration concepts.
  • Configure and secure servers to support organizational network needs.
  • Implement identity and access management (IAM) solutions to control user permissions.
  • Monitor network systems and apply fault tolerance and redundancy measures.
  • Develop and document asset inventories and recovery strategies.
  • Apply system hardening and security controls to protect servers and network resources.
