Course Overview
This 5-day instructor led course is designed to provides professionals with the knowledge needed to understand concepts for working with Qt6 and the GUI interface to create customizable visual designs. This course begins by providing a general overview of Qt6 and Qt Designer. Qt Designer is the user interface toolkit which provides simple implementation of source code. Participants will be able to understand GUI development practices and processes as well as install the Qt Designer and create application templates. The course will then progress to introduce Qt Quick and QML where participants will review designing GUI applications and C++ integration. At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Create software using the Qt 6 platform
- Design the program user interface using Qt Designer and Qt Quick Designer
- Implement Signals and Slots for event management
- Utilize user interface widgets
- Understand the State Machine Framework
- Understand the animation framework
- Create images with QtPainter and 2DGraphics
- Use OpenGL to create graphics
- Manage files with FTP file server
- Use XML to process data
- Convert data from various sources to use with Qt formats
- Connect to SQL databases
- Develop programs using Qt Web engine
- Troubleshoot errors
- Perform optimization
