Phoenix TS Supports Local and National Education Initiatives

January 6, 2015

Ashley Neu

We are firm believers that education can strengthen a person’s life. Quality education can help someone rise above the status quo, earn a dream job and so much more. This is why Phoenix TS launched a new program for the 2015 training year and beyond.

Gain Knowledge. Empower Education.

Starting this year, for every class purchased through Phoenix TS we will be donating a portion of our profits to local and national charities focused on improving lives and empowering through education. These charities, outlined below, were chosen based on our desire to help our nation’s youth, hungry and military to improve their lives through education and training.

Living Classrooms Foundation

The Living Classrooms Foundation has served the DC-MD-VA community since 1985 and grown into a vital economic and educational force. Their mission is to “[strengthen] communities and [inspire] young people to achieve their potential through hands-on education and job training, using urban, natural, and maritime resources as ‘living classrooms.'”

For Love of Children

For Love of Children (FLOC) began in 1965 and today it is focused on providing free educational services to low-income families in West Virginia and DC. Their mission is to provide ” free educational services beyond the classroom to help low-income students succeed from first grade through college and career.”

Capital Area Food Bank CAFB

The Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB) is the largest non-profit food bank in the DC area feeding over 500,000 people each year. In addition, the CAFB is committed to providing nutritional education to empower and enlighten others about the issues surrounding hunger and nutrition.

National Military Family Association

The National Military Family Association has focused on issues that are important to US military families since 1969. Through the advocacy of the National Military Family Association, thousands of military spouses have received educational scholarships and children have attended free summer camps focused on offering tools for dealing with the stress of a parent’s deployment.

Work to Give
